James P. Hanratty

James is a former Baltimore City Public Defender, practicing in both District and Circuit Courts. Born and raised in Baltimore, he was educated at Mount Saint Joseph High School, before receiving his B.A. in Government from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2000. James received his legal education at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was a published writer and editor of the School's Practical Journal. James graduated with honors in 2006, and has since engaged in a busy litigation practice, representing thousands of clients in all aspects of criminal law. James has successfully litigated matters including:
